The Amazon region is characterized by having large areas of tropical forest where trees of various species such as the ceibo can reach more than 50 meters high. However, there are areas where water replaces the mainland, Cuyabeno is the unique flooded forests of the Amazon, and it is a complex of lagoons that form the largest wetland in Ecuador. Here you can observe freshwater dolphins, manatees, caymans, otters, anacondas and the water guarango tree that grows on the banks of the rivers and lagoons, creating a magical and mysterious environment as it emerged from the water itself. The Siona Secoya, Cofan, Kichwa and Shuar communities live in this area.
