Yasuní is the largest protected area in the country, here is an impressive biodiversity and is also the territory of the Waorani nationality. Here you will find hundreds of species of flora and fauna: jaguars, anacondas, harpy eagles, monkey lions, and a great variety of reptiles and amphibians that have located that area as one of the most diverse in the world. Yasuní is also the territory of two communities who live in voluntary isolation Tagaeri & Taromenane. The park was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO on 1989.
